HOTEL TECH/PORTER SETUP (DRIVER LICENSE REQUIRED)

SUMMARY

Performs maintenance service and light repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine service, electrical, tile work, furniture repair, upholstery, welding, and/or vehicle servicing. Performs essential cleaning functions and properly maintains all areas of the hotel and ground in an attractive and orderly manner. Must present a positive image in the casino and the community.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Performs minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
  2. Repairs furniture, doors, windows, cabinet work, small appliances and equipment; replaces light bulbs, filters, dimmers, locks and other duties as assigned by shift supervisor.
  3. Diagnoses and resolves minor facility or equipment problems with or without assistance; notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  4. Assists with furniture set-up and construction, office moves, changes, and redesign.
  5. Assures prompt, courteous service to all customers, internal and external.
  6. Operates within the safety rules and codes set by the company.
  7. Operates company vehicles to perform service for the company.
  8. Performs routine cleaning duties when necessary such as waste receptacles, trach collection, sidewalk snow removal/de-ice etc.
  9. Assists with setup and tear down for banquet facility.
  10. Must adhere to all policies and procedures of the casino and department
  11. Must attend all meetings and/or trainings as directed by management
  12. Performs additional duties as necessary.

 

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

 

EXPERIENCE

Environment typically is a Class II or III Casino experience preferred.

JOB DEMANDS

Physical

Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, frequent ascent/descent from bus stairs, travel to various on/off site venues, which may involve elevation changes in surfaces. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry.  Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner.  Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to complete run log, routine maintenance check of fluids and examine documents, records and files.

Mental

Social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behavior. Work in motor vehicle, casino operations and external environments; exposure to second hand smoke, high noise level, bright lights, fluctuative temperatures/weather conditions.

F&B CASHIER

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Performs cash handling duties, helps guests by taking food orders with an emphasis on guest service in all food service venues. Has a pleasant, friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers at all times.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

  1. Immediately greet guests upon arrival, and takes care of customer orders.
  2. Fills bakery items, candy, pop, juice, cups, napkins, chips, candy, coffee, etc.
  3. Maintains a very clean area, including sweeping and mopping station at the end of shift. Takes empty boxes to dumpster.
  4. Must have a cheerful and courteous attitude at all times.
  5. Must be neat in appearance, respectful and pleasant.
  6. Wears proper uniform while on duty.
  7. Follows all sanitation procedures.
  8. Cleans coffee machine daily.
  9. Follows security procedures getting and checking out tills.
  10. Puts groceries away, rotating stock as you go.
  11. Stocks food items on line.
  12. Fills out opening/closing check lists, and pre-chart papers during shift.
  13. To have knowledge of all Casino and/or restaurant locations.
  14. To accurately compute all guest check totals and proved correct change.
  15. To accurately complete cash handling functions.
  16. To have working knowledge of the Point of Sales system.
  17. Must attend all meetings and/or training as directed by management.
  18. To perform other duties as assigned.
  19. To work as a team player with all other co-workers.
  20. Informs management of maintenance problems and guest complaints.
  21. Will let servers know when they are seated and to communicate any special request or needs of their guests, i.e. special occasions when working in the dining room.
  22. Maintain seating chart with knowledge of all table numbers and the server who is working each station when working in the dining room.
  23. Manage dining room to see that all tables, chairs and carpets are properly maintained throughout the shift when working in the dining room.
  24. Seat guests in an organized, rotational manner when working in the dining room.

 

  1. Thorough knowledge of menu items, buffet, entire establishment, tables, sections, service staff, daily specials and promotions.
  2. Keep menus clean and stocked.

Possesses authority needed to accomplish 1 – 26 above.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. High School diploma or GED required.

2.      Comprehensive computer skills.

3.      Must obtain TIPS certification and re-certify as necessary

  1. Six months to one-year related experience or training.
  2. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  3. Good organizational and clerical skills required.
  4. Must be able to obtain gaming license.
  5. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
  6. Native American preference.

 

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

 

  1. Must have a telephone.
  1. Must be able to lift 25 lbs routinely.
  2. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  3. Must be able to push a cart weighing 50 lbs. occasionally.
  1. Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.
